Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ Premiere Date; Raven-Symoné and Danielle Fishel to Direct!
"Wizards Beyond Waverly Place," produced by Selena Gomez and David Henrie, has some exciting news: Raven-Symoné and Danielle Fishel will be directing episodes this season.
This series, a continuation of the Emmy® Award-winning "Wizards of Waverly Place," debuts with two episodes on Tuesday, October 29, at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Disney Channel. The first eight episodes will also be available on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand starting Wednesday, October 30.
The show centers on adult Justin Russo, who has opted for a typical mortal life with his family—Giada, Roman, and Milo. When his sister Alex brings Billie to him for help, Justin realizes he needs to brush up on his magical skills to guide the wizard-in-training while managing his daily life and protecting the future of the Wizard World.
The cast includes David Henrie as Justin Russo, Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, Taylor Cora as Winter, and Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo. Selena Gomez will make a guest appearance as Alex Russo in the first episode.
The series is written and executive produced by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, alongside executive producers Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Gomez, and Henrie. Andy Fickman directed and executive produced the pilot and will also direct several episodes. "Wizards of Waverly Place" was created by Todd Greenwald.
After the Disney Channel premiere, two additional episodes, including a Halloween-themed one, will air on Wednesday, October 30. Starting November 8, new episodes will be released on Fridays at 8:00 p.m. EDT, featuring two episodes each week.
