Thank you Lionsgate for inviting me to an exclusive digital press event with

THINK LIKE A DOG’S CANINE STAR, HENRY,

DOG TRAINER SARAH CLIFFORD, WRITER|DIRECTOR GIL JUNGER and STAR GABRIEL BATEMAN.

THINK LIKE A DOG is pawsitively adorable, it’s pawtastic! There’s nothing comparable to a boy and his bond with his pup. When you have the weight of the world on your shoulders and can’t process what’s happening around you, you can always turn to your trusty friend, your pup.

Anatole France once said that “until one has loved an animal a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” Love isn’t just for us humans, animals are capable of feeling with as much warmth, love and intensity as we are. As it’s beautifully portrayed in THINK LIKE A DOG.

I was able to ask Gil and Gabriel what they wanted their audience goers to walk away learning from THINK LIKE A DOG. Watch the clip above, Gil summarized it beautifully...take a breath, enjoy your life and why he wrote the movie will grow your heart immensely.

Gil: It was an idea that I had. I wrote the film when my two boys were eight and 11. And I kind of knew in my heart that my wife at the time and I were growing apart. And I thought that it would end, and it made me really concerned for my boys and their future in their hearts. And I just wanted to kind of write a film that lets people know that divorce doesn’t have to be the end of the world. I mean, as long as there is love between parents and kids and mutual respect, it’s been my feeling and belief, and still is, you know, that life can be great. And especially since half of the people in the United States are getting divorced. So I wanted to give the message that divorce isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning of a new chapter.

I’ve always been mesmerized by how dogs are always happy, you know? They’re just always happy. And I kind of wanted to use that simplistic, loving gratitude-filled perspective on life to show my boys how it can be done and how, in my opinion as an older man now, how it should be done. Focus on what matters, period!
