SANTIAGO OF THE SEAS HALLOWEEN COOKIE RECIPE!

SANTIAGO OF THE SEAS releases on October 9th

Halloween is all about the candy, but I’m here to advocate for Halloween cookies too and not just any cookies but our favorite pirate, SANTIAGO OF THE SEAS.

One of the reason I love baking with my kiddo is because he has no clue he’s doing math while helping mix ingredients. SCORE, that’s a win, win, for both of us. He eats cookies and he’s learning what a half is or third, etc. The pictured cookie cutters can be found at your local Michael’s Arts and Craft store or on Amazon.

Here’s our favorite lavender sugar cookie recipe, I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Prep Time

Prep: 15 mins

Cook: 10 mins

Servings: 12

Ingredients

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon lavender flowers, or you may add rose water

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • ¾ cup white sugar

  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

  • ¾ cup butter, softened

DIRECTIONS

Before you starts, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure to line a baking sheet with waxed paper and grease the paper.

Now, take a good size bowl, whisk flour, sugar, and baking powder. Stir butter and egg into flour mixture until smooth; add vanilla extract and lavender. Gently mix again until thoroughly combined.

Drop cookie dough by tablespoon about 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until cookies edges turn light golden brown usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Your house will smell delicious!

When your cookies are done, place them on a cooling rack, once they’ve cooled off start decorating your cookies!

Happy Halloween, I hope it’s Spooktacular!
