Before you say, “it’s another sports movie,” this sports movie is more than that, it has heart, love and an uplifting spirit that’s needed now. If you’re a fan of college football, especially Clemson football, then you probably know the name Ray-Ray McElrathbey.
Safety is a drama inspired by the empowering story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey (Jay Reeves), I have to be honest, I knew nothing of his story and struggles until I saw the movie. He’s amazing, his an inspiration and a true testament of your situation does NOT define you, you define the situation.
The movie shows the devastating impact of poverty and drugs, with maximum range of emotional intensity that will have you crying and routing for our guy.
SAFETY is a phenomenal movie for the entire family, I don’t want to spoil the movie for you, I will let you know make sure you have a box of Kleenex with you, you’ll need it!

SAFETY is a drama inspired by the empowering story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey (Jay Reeves), a young man facing a series of challenging circumstances, whose dedication and persistence help him to triumph over repeated adversities. Aided by his teammates and the Clemson community, he succeeds on the field while simultaneously raising and caring for his 11-year-old brother Fahmarr (Thaddeus J. Mixson).
