National Civics Bee!

Calling all 6th-8th graders! The National Civics Bee, created by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, is a fun competition designed to encourage young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.

Today, I want to share my personal journey as a home school mom and why civics education holds a special place in my heart.

As a home school teacher, I believe that civics education is the key to nurturing active citizenship and creating a society where everyone's voice is heard. It's about empowering our students to become informed and engaged individuals who can make a positive impact on their communities.

A spelling bee is not only fun but National Civics Bee is important as it promotes literacy, language skills, and vocabulary development. It fosters competition, perseverance, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, it boosts confidence and provides a platform for showcasing talents, enhancing overall communication skills and personal growth.
