Snow comes to the California Science Center!
MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE EXPERIENCE
An EXPO of the latest in ski technology, snow safety, avalanche education and sustainable fashion. Also, BIG Prize Giveaways at this Free Public Event At the California Science Center on Saturday, March 28
Mountain Adventure Experience is an exposition highlighting the latest in snow activities and educational resources in conjunction with the release of the new 3D giant screen IMAX movie, Mountain Adventure, opening at the California Science Center March 27.
Participants will be on hand to display the newest technology in avalanche safety, ski/snow sport fashion and sustainability, slope safety and more. North Lake
Tahoe representatives will be present to provide information about their accommodations and services as well. There will also be several big-ticket giveaways including a ski weekend to Squaw Valley, IKON ski passes and snow wear. All of this is free and open to the public!
Visuals will include:
* An avalanche rescue dog and trainer
* Ice Sculpture demonstrations
* Photo opportunities in the snow
* Snow and avalanche safety demonstrations by REI
* Snowboard and ski tuning/waxing demonstration by REI
* Samples from the latest snow sport fashions by ROXY
* Giveaways will include a weekend at Squaw Valley, 2 for 1 IKON ski passes, The Quiksilver and Roxy Ultimate Head Snow Gear pack and day packs and trekking poles from REI
