Since 1924, Santa Barbarans have celebrated “Old Spanish Days” Fiesta as an expression of city pride in the storied heritage of Spanish founders and from the Indigenous, Mexican, and North American pioneers who first settled in the area. The tradition of colorful music, dance, and song, together with a spirit of friendliness, hospitality, and tolerance, are part of "Old Spanish Days” Fiesta tradition and preservation in Santa Barbara.
