Get Ready for Laughter: Paramount+ Unveils 'Dear Santa,' a Hilarious Holiday Adventure!

Paramount+ has unveiled "Dear Santa," an exciting new holiday comedy from the renowned Farrelly Brothers, Peter and Bobby. This marks Paramount+’s first original Christmas film, available exclusively in the U.S. and rolling out in the UK and Australia the following day. "Dear Santa" will also be featured in Paramount+’s annual ‘Tis the Season For Streaming holiday collection, which showcases a delightful array of beloved films, seasonal episodes from popular original series, and festive specials for the entire family. Plus, viewers can purchase the film digitally on its release day.

The plot of "Dear Santa" revolves around a young boy (played by Robert Timothy Smith) who sends his Christmas wish list to Santa—only to make a crucial spelling error that summons a mischievous Jack Black, ready to cause chaos during the holiday season. This film marks the return of the Farrelly Brothers, known for their iconic comedies like "Dumb & Dumber" and "There’s Something About Mary." With this latest venture, audiences can expect a wild and hilarious take on Christmas.

Joining Jack Black in the cast are comedic talents such as Keegan-Michael Key (known from "Key & Peele" and "Wonka"), Brianne Howey ("Ginny & Georgia"), and Hayes MacArthur ("Angie Tribeca"). The film also features global music sensation Post Malone, along with P.J. Byrne ("The Boys"), Jaden Carson Baker, and Kai Cech.

Produced by Paramount Pictures in collaboration with Kraymation Films, "Dear Santa" is directed by Bobby Farrelly, with a screenplay by Ricky Blitt and two-time Academy Award winner Peter Farrelly. The film is a result of a creative partnership between Ricky Blitt, Peter Farrelly, and Dan Ewen. The production team includes Peter Farrelly, Bobby Farrelly, and Jeremy Kramer as producers, with Kevin Barnett, Pete Jones, and Gretel Twombly serving as executive producers.
