DISNEY+ LUCA,

Pieno di vita, amore e inclusione!
Full of life, love and inclusion!
I miss Italy more than anything and after watching LUCA, I have never desired so much to return to the Mediterranean Sea and travel the countryside in a Vespa!
My kiddos favorite line, “silenziosa Bruno,” every time he finds something a little intimidating I hear him say, “silenziosa Bruno.” LUCA is so much more than just anmimation, it’s about family, growing up, finding your voice and coming into your own.
LUCA undersea sequences shows a time where the sea was untouched and innocent. When fisherman’s use to take small fishing boats out and listen to record players that wide up.
The lovely display of LUCA Italian village was radiant. From the fountain to the cobblestone street, little shops and more, it was just spectacular and nostalgic.
It’s a story about two teenage boys having pure fun, they’re full of spirit and their imagination are running wild and that’s where all the magic happens and let’s not forget about the VESPA. Zip around with a VESPA and get into all sorts of shenanigans.
I can’t recommend LUCA enough, especially now, we need a movie that shows kids thats it’s ok to have their imaginations soar, picture the impossible and most importantly, find a friend that wants the best for you and will adjust your crown without letting you know what they’re doing. “Teamwork makes the dream work," and that’s what LUCA portrays.
We LOVE LUCA, and may your summer be just as magical as LUCA. You can catch LUCA on Disney+ right now and or, if you’re in LA, El Captain has special engagement.
In honor of the Disney+ release of LUCA, I wanted to share some fun activity sheets which can be downloaded below:

Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Luca” is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface.
The voice cast features Jacob Tremblay as Luca Paguro, Jack Dylan Grazer as Alberto Scorfano, Emma Berman as Giulia Marcovaldo, Saverio Raimondo as town bully Ercole Visconti, Maya Rudolph as Luca’s mom Daniela, Marco Barricelli as Giulia’s dad Massimo, Jim Gaffigan as Luca’s dad Lorenzo, Sandy Martin as Luca’s grandma, and Giacomo Gianniotti as a local fisherman. Pixar Animation Studios’ 24th feature film is directed by Academy Award® nominee Enrico Casarosa (“La Luna”) and produced by Andrea Warren (“Lava,” “Cars 3”). Award-winning composer Dan Romer (“Beasts of the Southern Wild,” “Maniac”) created the score.
