Gray whales are currently migrating from Alaska to Mexico, to give birth. However, this little one couldn’t wait and was probably born sometime today of the Southern California coast. The fetal folds were clearly visible, indicating that it was just born.

This “little one” is probably 1,500 to 2,000 pounds and around 15 feet long, will be nursing for about 6 to 8 months.
