Do You Feel The Chill? It's Anna and Elsa Going Into The Unknown in FROZEN 2!

Thank you, Disney, for having us at the Pre-Screening of FROZEN 2. I can’t believe it’s been 6 years since we last saw the two sisters that taught us all to, “Let it Go.” FROZEN 2 is very different than when we first left them. We come across the sisters in FROZEN 2 they’re both little girls, very bright and effervescent and they’ve evolved into two very different characters.

Elsa in FROZEN 2 is a bit secretive and secluded, she’s been hearing a persistent voice calling to her and one night it beckons her, she leaves her bedroom, closes the door leaving Anna behind, all the way, she’s belting out “Into the Unknown” which is captivating. The voice draws her in but she doesn’t want to answer it out of fear, her inner conflicts are tugging at her heartstrings.

As old traditional fairy tales go there’s always a little bit of darkness and there’s a moment where it gets a little scary. I won’t spoil it for you, but my little one was in tears and once that specific scene was over I leaned over and reminded him that everything will be okay. This “dark” scene was addressed in our junket (see below), be prepared you might have a little one crying for a bit but it will all work out.

Jennifer Lee– “We’ve had an incredible response of kids going through those moments and coming out the other side with a triumph. We grew up with those fairy tales and we didn’t want to be afraid of it.”

Kristen Bell– “...We don’t give kids enough credit because they’re projections of us. We want them to be happy, and we want ourselves to be happy, all of the time. We don’t give them enough credit for their ability to digest complex situations, and trauma, and struggle...I think it’s great for kids to be a little bit on the edge of their seat because it’s a safe environment to try on those emotions.”

The voice isn’t the only thing drawing Elsa, the elements themselves seem to be attacking the kingdom, sending our curious sisters off on a quest to Northuldra, a land that has been cloaked in mists ever since Elsa and Anna’s grandfather King Runeard (Jeremy Sisto) traveled there to christen a dam that was a gift from the Arendellians. With their memories of a legend and stories shared by their parents (Evan Rachel Wood and Alfred Molina), the sisters will push themselves to the very edge of sacrifice to correct a historical wrong and bring harmony back to the world. Get ready to be at the edge of your seat!

The film includes seven new songs by husband-and-wife songwriting team Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who scored an Oscar in 2014 with “Let It Go." Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck return to direct. You know it's going to be iincredible!

Promised you a spoiler-free review, now make sure the one thing you do this weekend, take the family to FROZEN 2! Go “Into the Unknown” confidently and know you’ll love every minute of it.
