Happy National Dog Day! Thank you Universal Pictures and Illumination for the care package! Dare I say we, loved Secret Life of Pets 2 better than 1. We laughed so hard that we were literally howling. In honor of National Dog Day and Blu-Ray celebration I thought I’d share Bo's favorite Dog Biscuit recipe.
Yogurt Peanut Butter Banana Frozen Treats!
Making it is super simple, just throw all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend. Fill the silicone mold (I used the one in the picture) and freeze for two hours. Because these dog treats are frozen instead of baked, you have to store them frozen in an airtight container.
Ingredients:
32 oz Plain Yogurt
3 Tablespoons Peanut Butter (make sure it contains no xylitol. Xylitol is a sugar substitute found in sugar-free products.)
1 Large Banana, sliced
Directions:
Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until creamy.
Fill the silicone mold
Freeze for at least 2 hours.
Pop out of molds and serve it up to your pup, take the rest, keep leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer
The Secret Life of Pets 2 will follow summer 2016’s blockbuster about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy will produce the sequel to the comedy that had the best opening ever for an original film, animated or otherwise.
The Secret Life of Pets 2 will see the return of writer Brian Lynch (Minions) and once again be directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me series, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax).
