The Fix and For The People on ABC!

Thank you ABC Network for inviting to meet George Pennacchio of KABC who moderated a conversation with Marcia Clark (co-creator and executive producer, “The Fix”) and Paul William Davies (creator & executive producer, “For The People”).

Both shows are produced by attorneys, their main goal was to create a show that if you were in the industry you wouldn't be screaming, “that would never happen.” I’ve watched both shows now, actually I’ve binged watched and it’s fantastic. Both tackle current issues and what I love, you are invested in the case from start to finish, If you’re thinking to yourself, “do we really need another law show, let alone two.” I’m here to tell you that these are NOT your regular “law” shows. These are far from ordinary, both shows are extraordinary.

If you remember Marcia Clark was the prosecuting attorney for a very famous case...OJ Simpson. She was the woman whom I inspired to be, to go after bad people and make a difference in the world. She’s a firecracker and nothing is slowing her down. Marci has created a show that is every bit a reflection of who she is, smart, fresh, full of fire and intriguing.

Attorney and author Marcia Clark co-writes and executive produces a new legal drama about Maya Travis, a Los Angeles district attorney who suffers a devastating defeat when prosecuting an A-list actor for double murder. With her high-profile career derailed, she decides she needs a change and flees for a quieter life in Washington. Eight years later, when this same celebrity comes under suspicion for another murder, Maya Travis finds herself lured back to the DA's office for another chance at justice

Paul William Davies is an attorney himself and he’s created a show that will have you invested in the Prosecution and Public Defender's office. You’ll see how a case is assigned in both offices and how it transpires. For The People has good looking, young adults on a path into adulthood. Twenty something, were they create bonds and break alliances with some, compete for the favor of there boss and sleep with one another, all the ingredients for a successful show!

The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York -- also known as the Mother Court -- is the oldest district court in the nation, and the setting for the newest drama from the minds of Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. Focusing on the lives and careers of the brand-new lawyers working for both the defense and the prosecution and handling some of the most high-profile and high-stakes federal cases in the country, "For the People" follows the talented professionals as their lives intersect both in and out of the courtroom.
