Experience Enchanted: Forest of Light at Descanso Gardens from Nov. 18 – Jan. 6.


I’ve wanted for the past three years attend Descanso Gardens Enchanted Forest and this year was the year! I took a million pictures and NONE of them captured the raw beauty the garden has. It’s spectacular, truly magical. It’s exactly what I envision Cinderella’s forest would have been. Birds chirping, oversized trees that envelope you with glistening leaves. You’ll come across mesmerizing interactive light display that’s activated by you or kiddo just by walking the beautifully lined path or jumping on raised disks. As you find yourself jumping discs from color to color you’ll soon realize you’re actually creating music. You’ll be listening to the sounds you’ve created by stroking rods under the beautiful Sycamores trees that give an ethereal experience. Along the way there are stops where you can sit and enjoy a beverage and snack, take your time when you’re walking, you don’t want to miss anything. 

You must bring your entire family to Descanso Gardens, I mean everyone. From Mom, Dad, Sibling, In-Laws and Neighbors, yes, I mean everyone! Word of advice, dress warm and wear comfortable shoes, it’s a one-mile walk so you want to be comfortable.  Most importantly stop by the gift shop, it's glorious, everything you will need to celebrate Christmas you’ll find here. There one of a kind pieces are stunning which means you’re present will be a hit. 

Enchanted: Forest of Light is an interactive, nighttime experience unlike anything else in Los Angeles, featuring a one-mile walk through unique lighting experiences in some of the most beloved areas of Descanso Gardens. Enchanted is a rain or shine event. Tickets are non-refundable, have timed entry and must be purchased in advance.

  • Enchanted: Forest of Light runs daily from 5:30 to 10 pm, November 18, 2018 – January 6, 2019.

  • Enchanted: Forest of Light is closed on November 22 (Thanksgiving), December 24 (Christmas Eve), and December 25 (Christmas Day).

  • Join us for the Preview Party on November 17, 2018.
