Paddington 2 In Theaters January 12!
Thank you, Warner Brothers Pictures for inviting us to high-tea and pre-screening of Paddington 2. Not only was it an honor to be there but I was literally transported back to my childhood. Nostalgia set in and I was reminiscing about my childhood, my mom reading me Paddington adventures and my bear, oh my lovely bear that I slept with. I wish I had kept that bear, alas I have no idea what happened to him unfortunately, that’s why when we received our bear, my inner child was screaming from excitement. I’m thrilled to be able to share this with my son, it means the world to me.
Paddington is home for me as it is for my little one. Paddington 2 is so much more than just a bear going on a journey, it’s about family, love, acceptance and going to bat for what you believe in, taking chances and not being afraid to fail. As Paddington declares, “If we are kind and polite, the world will be right,” wise words to live by, I wish to teach this to my kiddo. We are in control of our emotions and our own being, we are in charge of ourselves.
Paddington 2 writer-director Paul King has brought back our beloved Paddington Bear. Paddington picks up several years after he’s found his forever home with the Browns. Mother Mary (Sally Hawkins) is pursuing adventures of her own without her husband knowing any better, while father Henry’s (Hugh Bonneville) the devoted father who loves his family is going through midlife crisis and his shenanigans are funny, to say the least. The kids have grown, as expected, Judy played by Madeleine Harris has a self-publishing newspaper, Jonathan (Samuel Joslin) is now Mr. Cool with his friends as “J-Dog,” Y'all when I heard that name on the big screen I laughed so hard that Pepsi came out of nose! I found that to be hilarious because I know one day my little one will be a teenager and will come up with a name to be in the “in the crowd.”
Now without giving away the entire story, I will let you know how the shenanigans get started. Our story begins when Paddington wants to purchase a birthday present for his Aunt Lucy. Paddington comes across a wonderfully delightful pop-up book of London. However, this popup book contains clues to a lost treasure that Hugh Grant (Phoenix Buchanan) is trying to get his hands on. When the pop-up book is stolen, our beloved Paddington Bear is framed for the crime. Being sentenced to jail, Paddington comes across a terrifying chef (a crazed Brendan Gleeson) whom everyone is scared to approach which ensues all sorts of hilarity.
Michael Bond, the creator of the beloved children’s character Paddington Bear created a storyline that transcends thru time. He published his first book, A Bear Called Paddington, about the marmalade-loving bear from deepest, darkest Peru in 1958. Paddington, with his old hat, battered suitcase, was discovered in Paddington Station, London, by the (human) Brown family who adopted him, and thus he gives his full name as "Paddington Brown".
We loved Paddington 2, the cast is undeniable outstanding and exceptional. The storyline will have you in stitches and most of all it feels like home. The bond that ties us with Paddington will always live with us and most importantly it will be passed down to our children. A must see movie for kids all of all ages. Take the entire family and enjoy every second of it!

Following the worldwide hit “Paddington,” one of the most successful family films of all time, this much-anticipated sequel finds Paddington (Ben Whishaw) happily settled with the Brown family in London, where he has become a popular member of the local community, spreading joy and marmalade wherever he goes.
While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s hundredth birthday, Paddington sees a unique pop-up book in Mr. Gruber’s antique shop, and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it. But when the book is stolen, it’s up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief.
Reuniting many of the original film’s cast while welcoming those in new roles, “Paddington 2” stars Golden Globe nominee Hugh Bonneville (“Downton Abbey”), Oscar nominee Sally Hawkins (“Blue Jasmine”), three-time Golden Globe nominee Brendan Gleeson (“The Guard,” “Into the Storm,” “In Bruges”), Oscar nominee Julie Walters (“Billy Elliot,” “Educating Rita”), Oscar winner Jim Broadbent (“Iris”), and Oscar winner Peter Capaldi (short, “Franz Kafka’s It’s a Wonderful Life”), with Golden Globe and BAFTA Award winner Hugh Grant (“Four Weddings and a Funeral”), and BAFTA winner Ben Whishaw (“The Hollow Crown”) as the voice of Paddington.
