Free Mobile Mammogram Screenings At Citadel Outlets Starting On National Mammography Day, Oct. 20
Friday, Oct. 20 through Sunday, Oct. 22, the center will host a variety of events focused on the breast cancer community including on-site mammograms, 5K run and pancake breakfast, Health & Wellness Fair and more
MOBILE MAMMOGRAMS (OCT. 20-22):
Location: Near Food Court
Observed annually on the third Friday in October, this year's National Mammography Day will be on Friday, October 20. Citadel Outlets, in partnership with Susan G. Komen Los Angeles, will have mobile mammogram trucks on-site to conduct free screenings starting on Friday, October 20 through Sunday, October 22 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. each day.
Registration will be available at www.pinksaves.com; however, walk-ups are welcome. Susan G. Komen representatives will be present to provide education, support and on-going services for all participants. A Supporter’s Lounge with TVs, snacks and beverages will be available for those waiting for loved ones to complete their mobile mammograms.
5K WALK & PANCAKE BREAKFAST (OCT. 21):
Location: 5K throughout the center; pancake breakfast on Ruby's Diner Patio
On Saturday, Oct. 21, Citadel Outlets will host a 5K Walk followed by a Pancake Breakfast provided by Ruby’s Diner. The walk will begin at 7AMand the route will wind through the shopping center. Registration is $15 per person and includes a race shirt and post-walk pancakes from 8AM-10AM. Upon registering, participants will be able to select either Susan G. Komen Los Angeles or Pink Lotus Breast Center as their benefiting charity. As an added benefit, Susan G. Komen Los Angeles supporters that attend the walk will receive a code offering $15 off their 2018 Race For The Cure registration. The PINK SAVES 5K Walk registration is available on-site the morning of the event or online here.
HEALTH & WELLNESS FAIR (OCT. 21-22):
Location: Center Court
On Saturday and Sunday from 10AM-4PM, Citadel Outlets will also host a PINK SAVES Health & Wellness Fair focused on providing education and support for the breast cancer community. Attendees will have the chance to participate in specialized on-site workout classes, a live cooking demonstration with Chef Curtiss Hemm, co-survivor and contributing author of Breast Cancer Superfoods, and meet with and learn more about a number of breast cancer-focused charities, including Pink Lotus Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Kristi Funk and focused on helping low-income women who are uninsured receive treatment.
