Wonder Woman is WonderFul!

Thank you, Warner Brothers for hosting a WonderFul (see what I did there) press junket and most importantly teaming up with DC Comics to bring Wonder Woman to the to life. Wonder Woman shows more than a beautiful woman ready to take on the world, Wonder Woman enforces that brains and beauty make for a winning combination. The importance of depicting a woman with strength, the ingenuity to think on her own, having a positive outlook on life when the world is chaotic is the key to success. Being optimistic will always provide a winning outcome, this is exactly the role model our little girls and boys should have. Girls knowing that there is no such thing as being bossy, it’s about taking the lead and being the change they wish to see in the world. To be a voice for the voiceless and to have no fear. Our boys learning that women who think on their own are not intimidating and most importantly that they’re an asset.

When I first heard about Wonder Woman the movie, I was thinking how in the world will they create a movie out of TV episodes, I remember watching reruns of Wonder Woman when I was a little girl. Lynda Carter who played Diana Prince, a true Amazonian with special powers, fights bad guys. She’d catch people in her magic lasso of truth and used her golden belt and bracelets to deflect things such as bullets. In every episode there would be an uphill battle and Wonder Woman would come to the rescue. Let me tell you, Wonder Woman the movie will not DISAPPOINT!!!! Yes, I’m screaming, it was superb, it’s everything you expect and beyond.

On a side note, Warner Brothers and or Patty Jenkins (director) if you are reading this, please start a Wonder Woman Amazonian boot camp, I promise you every woman I know will sign up. Wonder Woman begins of with modelesque Amazonian woman training for a forseen battle. I was so motivated watching these woman train, it’s amazing when one has the mindset to have a healthy body it’s remarkable what can be achieved. The Amazonian island is magical, the mystical location will take your breath away. It’s intoxicating, the lush green surroundings, majestic waterfall, it’s tranquil and a place where we’d invasion in our dreams where peace would exist. This is where the Amazonian woman lives, Wonder Woman's birthplace, the world where the impossible is possible and where dreams, hopes, and hopes are achieved. A place where women support one another, uplift and respect one another, knowing that each person is unique and everyone brings something to the table to create a whole. I loved how we were given insight into Wonder Woman's story and how she became to be, a woman of strength, courage, and determination. I couldn't imagine anyone else playing Wonder Woman other than Gal Gadot. Gal is truly the optime of Wonder Woman.

Gal, in her personal life, served in the Israel Defense Forces for two years and won the Miss Israel title in 2004. When we interviewed her during the press junket she was 8 weeks out having her beautiful daughter and had thrown out her back. The entire time Gal was gracious, kind, smiling, full of life and welcoming! I had the opportunity to share with Gal and Patty my thoughts on the movie and the message they portrayed:

Kathy ~I want to say I love this movie, not only because of the fact that it empowers girls, it empowers women, because it made me feel like I can conquer the world, and I love the fact that not only are you stunning and absolutely gorgeous...

Ms. Gal Gadot ~ So are you. Thank you...

Kathy ~ Thank you. Wonder Woman's mind frame, Diana’s was always positive. No matter what was thrown at her, she never saw the negative, she took it head on. I appreciate that because it makes us stop, and it’ll make kids stop to think, to be grateful, positive and understand that your life, your surrounding is based on your mind frame. Train yourself to see everything in a positive tone, rewire your brain.

Ms. Gal Gadot ~ That’s so true...

Kathy ~ Positive things will come out because it’s easy to take negative and roll with the negative. But, it’s a lot better to do positive because more will come out of it. So, I want to say thank you for portraying that on the big screen.

Ms. Gal Gadot ~ It’s a lot with this woman here (pointing to Patty).

Kathy ~ Yes, it was amazing.

Ms. Patty Jenkins ~ Yes, both.

Ms. Gal Gadot ~ That it was very important for Patty that we’re not being sarcastic, or we’re leaving cynicism aside, and we’re assuming the best. And once you do that, you’re always

positive. And I totally agree with you, and it really moved me to know that people understand what we’ve been trying to capture, it means the world.

Gal Gadot and Ms. Patty Jenkins ~ Yes. Look, I have goose bumps.

Kathy ~ I loved, yes, everything about it, I loved it. It’s so important, especially in this day and age to think positive.

Ms. Gal Gadot ~ Exactly. Thank you.

Ms. Patty Jenkins ~ Yes, thank you.

Wonder Woman the movie at it’s core is genuine, an emotional story about family, Diana's roots and how she comes to discover her inner strength. Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, who played Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor, and the ENTIRE cast, down to the extras, did an outstanding job portraying their characters.

~Power of a goddess. Heart of a hero. Gal Gadot is #WonderWoman, in theaters June 2. From Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment comes the epic action adventure starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright, directed by Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
