Premise: A devoted dog (Josh Gad) discovers the meaning of its own existence through the lives of the humans it teaches to laugh and love. Reincarnated as multiple canines over the course of five decades, the lovable pooch develops an unbreakable bond with a kindred spirit named Ethan (Bryce Gheisar). As the boy grows older and comes to a crossroad, the dog once again comes back into his life to remind him of his true self. ~ Release date: January 27, 2017

LESSON 2: STAGES OF A DOG'S LIFE
SUBJECTS: CREATIVE WRITING, EVENT SEQUENCING, MATH
In the movie, A Dog’s Purpose, we get to experience what it’s like to be a dog. Dogs have unique personalities and as they grow from a puppy to an adult they will build a relationship with their owners, loving and serving them. This lesson takes students through the life of a dog: living, learning, and having fun!
LESSON 3: LIFE'S PURPOSE
SUBJECTS: SOCIAL STUDIES
Dogs definitely serve a purpose in their lives, don’t they? Reflecting on that, students will be able to explore facets of their own life purpose and career by thinking about their unique skills and abilities, what they love to do, and how they can serve others.
LESSON 4: EXPLORING DOG RELATED CAREERS
SUBJECTS: HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY
Dogs have helped humans all over the world throughout history. In this lesson, students will travel the globe as they learn about dog breeds on each continent and how they work with people.
