Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is an upcoming American family comedy film directed by Steve Carr and written by Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, and Kara Holden. It is based on the 2011 novel of the same name by James Patterson and Chris Tebbits. The film stars Griffin Gluck, Lauren Graham, Rob Riggle, Thomas Barbusca, Andy Daly, and Adam Pally. Principal photographybegan on November 21, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. Lionsgate will release the film on October 7, 2016.
Premise ~ A new student named Rafe Khatchadorian (Griffin Gluck) can't wait to start his first day at Hills Village Middle School, but it's not as glamorous as he believes when Principal Dwight (Andy Daly) and most teachers who are in charge of him, are cruel and worse than the bullies. So after Rafe & his friends have finally had enough of them, they come up with an idea to start an insurrection to go up against their out-of-line principal where they do things that would humiliate him.
