Coach Holiday Collection & Christian Louboutin

I was invited to the Coach Holiday Collection preview at the Beverly Hills store and I have to say, what a fabulous morning. Fell in love with absolutely every piece of clothing, handbag, shoe and accessorie that was presented. If you get a chance to stop by, take a peak of the shearling collection, it's the new black for the holiday season. The backpack is to die for, with its soft supple leather and shearling lining, absolutely stunning. If you've got a baby in the house or need a present, take a look at the little shearling sheep, super cute and a great gift. The store was emanating warmth and definitely bringing on the holiday spirit. By the way if you're shopping for Espadrilles which is the hot item for this year, Coach has studded espadrilles on sale, it's a steal! Cozy, comfortable, fashionable and reasonably priced, you can't go wrong.

Talking about shoes, I had the honor of meeting Christian Louboutin this week at Saks Fifth Avenue, Beverly Hills. He is a man with a vision to rule and dominate the shoe industry and currently dabbling in cosmetics. His shoes have made quite an impact on our generation. Every woman wants "Red Bottom" shoes, it's a luxury item that isn't a necessity but a craving that's insatiable. This from a man who decided to run away from home at the age of 12, drop out of school and live with his friend and his parents. In his younger years he freelanced for Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Maud Frizon and worked for Charles Jourdan. He then stepped away from the fashion industry and became a landscape Gardner, YES, you read that right. He didn't step away completely, he was still a contributor for Vogue. Missing the fashion industry immensely, Mr. Louboutin returned in 1991, opened a store in Paris with his first client being Princess Caroline of Monaco. From there his shoe store flourished. Princess Caroline spoke highly of his collections to journalist and his star studded client list grew. From the likes of Diane Von Fürstenberg and Catherine Deneuve, the list goes on and on. Not bad for a man who dropped out of school and created an empire serving up luxury stiletto high heels. It pays off to follow your dreams and believing in yourself.
